Directions from Faro airport to

Bosque De S. Jose apartments at Olhos De Agua

Please note that the route below has been carefully chosen to avoid any particularly awkward junctions or busy areas. The first part of the route is on dual carriageways. Don’t forget you will be filtering in to your left when joining these roads. Also look out for very short filter lanes and other vehicles exiting at the same point as you are joining. If you are unsure always best to stop and wait for the road to clear.  After leaving the A22 motorway at junction 11, the rest is on single carriageway, so please remember to drive on the right.

The approximate journey time is around 25 to 30 minutes.

At the airport car park exit, get in the right hand lane and follow the signs for N125 Faro & then A22 Portimao (blue sign). Keep following the blue signs for Lisboa & Portimao.

Keep a look out for a large Ford car dealership on your left hand side. At this point you will go over a bridge and then take the very next exit to the right signed to Portimao.

You will go round a loop and then need to filter in to your left. Carry on a short straight and you will then need to filter in again to your left (beware as traffic may also be exiting here). You are now on the IC4.

Keep following the signs to A22 Lisboa & Portimao. You will then go across two junctions controlled by traffic lights. Shortly after the second junction keep a look out for a combined Mercedes/Smart car dealership on your left hand side. As soon as you pass the dealership you will need to get in to the left hand lane to keep following the A22 blue signs.

Shortly after this you will see a large sports stadium in the distance to your right. Go past the exit to the stadium and keep following the blue signs that now say A22 Lisboa & Albufeira.

The next exit to the right is signed A22 ESPANHA. Do Not take this exit but instead take the very next exit to the right which is the A22 to Portimao.

You will now go round a loop and come up onto the A22 motorway at junction 13. Filter in to the traffic on your left. (Again, take care here, as it is a fast road with a short filter lane and traffic may also be exiting)

Carry along the A22 motorway past junction 12 and then past a new services. About 1Km past the services you will reach the junction 11 exit. Take this exit to the right signed Boliqueime N125.

You will go round a loop and as soon as you straighten up you need to get in the left hand lane signed N270 Boliqueime. You are now on a single carriageway road for the first time.

After around 1.5 Km you will see a small works sign (ARCAR) on your right and then some “No Overtaking” signs. Just past this point there is a small turning to the left, signed to Vale Covo & Monte Jao Preta. Take this turning and then keep going down this bendy road without turning off. (Please take care as there are a couple of very sharp turns) 

At the end of this road you will reach a T junction with a large white building directly in front of you. At this junction turn left signed Faro & Albufeira. (Please take care as visibility is quite restricted here).

After a short distance the road goes over a railway bridge. After you come over the bridge take the next turning to the right signed to Albufeira. Keep going down this road passing a petrol station on your left and the Kadoc nightclub on your right.

Further on you will pass over a pair of flat bridges and the road then bears sharp to the right. There is now a long straight section eventually leading to the village of Vale Carro with a 50kph limit and "punishment" lights.

After passing through Vale Carro you will come to a roundabout. Take the 3^rd exit (a left turn) signed to Olhos De Agua. Shortly after this there is a 2^nd roundabout at which you need to go straight across (2^nd exit). Just after this is a 3^rd roundabout at which you need to take the 1^st exit (a right turn) signed to Olhos de Agua.

Go down the hill and straight across the traffic lights at the bottom passing some small shops on your left hand side. Shortly after this you will see the Oceanus Hotel on your left hand side. Opposite this you will see some new shops and a parking area and then the new circular fresh market (mercado) building. Take the next right turn in to the road between the Inter Marche supermarket and the circular fresh market building. You are now in the road (Rua De Mercado) that leads straight up to the apartment complex which is at the end of this small cul-de sac.
